This is under the category of energy awareness because it is about where you put your attention.
The Power of Self-Celebration:

In the simplest terms, self-celebration is about positive reinforcement. Self Celebration reinforces the behaviors you want to repeat instead of the ones you want to be released from.
It is crucial for all of us to register evidence in your brain when you "got it right".
Focusing on the triumph cements your understanding of yourself as the kind of person who is capable of making your own dreams come true - it sends a message to yourself - that you can trust what you want, and that you can trust yourself to make good things happen for yourself.
-Also, self-punishment rarely works as a form of behavior change and creating long lasting, sustainable positive transformation.
However, so many of us have a win and then focus on the negative whether that be the one bad review or an endless mindchatter of what you could've, would've, should've done differently.
Self-Celebration Dispels Shame. It Helps You Trust That You Are Good.

Big Celebration Prompt:
For big celebrations, feel into each question. Go back to the moment and allow yourself to be joyous. Focus on how much this moment meant to you.

*this prompt was originally from Yadirra Albarran of the Goddess Wisdom Council who has a background in toltec wisdoms, Native American and traditional Mexican wisdoms, tantric, and mindfulness practices. All of the teachers I mention hail from teachings that are greater than that one person, however each teacher uses their own innate wisdoms unique to the individual teacher and their journey.

Doing the self-celebration practice is incredibly rewarding. It helps me focus on the good instead of obsessing on the bad, the negative and if you are like me and have a brain wired towards finding the "what's wrong" in a situation, this is a simple, fun excercise that helps strengthen the positivity muscle. To me, doing the self-celebration journal prompts always feel like I am maximizing the good.
For the big wins, I can really sit with myself and celebrate myself which makes way for more positive results in the future. I can acknowledge the work I put in, and deepen into how good this win (that I wanted) feels.
For big wins, I can go back and remember how good it feels. I feel so happy when I look back at old journal prompts. It takes me back to that moment and how good it felt.
I have done this practice for really positive moments but I have also done this practice when I needed to remind myself of how hard I worked and that my accomplishments are worth celebrating.
For example, recently I had to have a conversation with a man who made me feel uncomfortable with his behavior towards me. This experience and the conversation brought up my own triggers of times in the past when I was harmed by men. After the conversation, I still felt uneasy because it did not go as I would have preferred. I did the journal prompt and was able to give myself a self-love pep talk.
I reminded myself that I stood my ground and stayed in my core.
I told myself that "if you can stand up for yourself, you can stand up for others." "You can be strong, hold your ground, hold your core, and hold your boundaries EVEN when you are afraid."
I continued with the journal prompt for a couple days, letting my inner wisdoms come through slowly as I processed the event in my mind. In the end, I was reminded of how brave I was and how I should be proud for standing up for myself.
These journal prompts magnetize joy and good feelings. When I look back on my old journal prompts, I can still feel the palpable goodness coming through. Whether through journal prompts or another way that suits you better, self-celebration is necessary for sustainable, aligned growth.
