Ysabel Catherina. this Holy life
expressive arts & mental health
Hi, I’m Ysabel Catherina (pronounced Ee-sah-bell).
I’m a creative, a doula, an artist — human.
I want for myself and others to follow what is most alive, what is humming with energy and know that our attention and imagination are powerful tools that can help us discover deep emotional truths and change the world. No matter how hard or hopeless life seems you have the power to do something about it.
Throughout my life I have felt heavy and fractured. The arts helped me to feel whole. My passion lies in helping others reconnect with and fight for their aliveness. I believe there is sacred in the mundane acts of life and am drawn to creative expression, the arts, and ritual.

I want to create more beauty in this world and reverence for life. I dream of creating a sanctuary for powerful healing. I will involve artistic expression and creation because the process is empowering. One can transform their pain/ experience into gold and feel the healer in themselves. I cannot ‘fix’ someone, I can only help guide them back home to themselves. Clients need a practitioner that can hold a solid emotional container and feel safe to drop into their emotional bodies as we work. Sessions should be treated like ceremonies because they are transformational spaces. I want to help people be brave by being their authentic selves, and creating a full, vivid life.

"In my life, in my work and in my living I've realized a very fundamental truth:
Much of my life doesn't make "sense." The gnarly and brutal happenings that fashion why I traveled to the ends of the Earth to find my peace.
The countless joys and blessings bestowed on me with no merit or regard for whether I "deserved" or not. Having access to education, food and knowledge to improve my lot in this life.
When everything is parsed through, much of this life is an experiment, a laboratory, a work in progress across time and space.
What is your mythopoetic song that desires to find life through you. What stories are seeking to find expression in your bones?
Can you feel the poetry of your life and all you've been?
Press on" - Esi Wildcat
